As someone chronically uninterested in sports generally (have tried), I do love seeing the occasional innovations in equipment that may or may not take off and change (some aspect of) the game.

And as an aside, part 22 has a picture of the author and I love it when my (based on stereotypes and prejudices) expectations get completely upended.
