Is that bad? Are we so incapable of taking the long view that we require artists to produce on a yearly cycle? Is any game that doesn't release by Christmas a failure?
I guess that was a bit flippant. I actually think it is impressive to stick to a project for so long in such a hype-driven industry. But it’s also the reality that most projects that are in development for over a decade turn out to be vaporware. I hope that isn’t going to be true of Miegakure, because it seems absolutely fascinating, but it was supposed to be released 2015. Opening the annual devlog update as if that wasn’t the case is kinda asking for it.
It’s been going well for eleven years now.
