Well people here really love to talk about how great it is to start business, so why don't they start ethical businesses? Be the change you want to see in the world?
My guess would be because it isn't actually very profitable, and even if they start out with the best of intentions they allow themselves to be acquired and trade ethics for money anyway.
Maybe I'm just really cynical about people in tech, but I feel like all this talk about ethics only happens when you're on the wrong side of it and most people here would be plenty willing to sell out if given half a chance.
